Things that just happened:
August !!! Commander SAAZ was an amazing and memorable event, thanks so much to The Commander for all of your hard work, as well as all the judges, stewards, competitors and volunteers for making this competition possible!!!
On a related note: We will need more BJCP judges next year, anyone interested please start the process now as it does take some time to get certified!! We will be exploring some educational beers informally at the next several meetings so be sure to attend if you would like to learn more about beer judging!!
Things that are about to happen:
Nominations for 2025 SAAZ board positions are coming up this November!! Would you like to get more involved in our local club shenanigans? A board position is the perfect way !!! If you are interested in a board position, nominations are in November with elections to be held in December!!! Consider a seat on the board to make a larger contribution to our club. Pres, VP, secretary, treasurer, events coordinator, communications and education are the current officer positions, if anyone would like to be nominated or nominate another worthy of such a position please contact info@saaz.org.
Sunshine challenge is seeking judges and stewards for their competition. They need volunteers for 9/14-15, 9/21-22 and 9/28-29 at Ivanhoe Park Brewing, this is a great opportunity to learn more about beer styles, judging and to help another local competition in their quest for success – https://cfhb.org/sunshine-challenge/ to register or see more info.
Time for SAAZ members to start brewing some awesome beers for pouring, to represent SAAZ at the Space Coast Brewfest 10/05 in Titusville!!! This is a great event and we want to pour some amazing beers so get those burners lit and those kettles boiling!!! We are looking to pour 4 to 6 beers at our tent, so get brewing folks!!

9/21 Orlando Ale line pub crawl Sat, September 21, 12pm – 10pm.
We will be meeting up at Gravity Taproom, 777 N Orange Ave Suite D Orlando Fl 32801, at 1pm. The bus will then pick us up to tour the Orlando brewery scene!!! The courtyard Marriot Downtown is right behind the taproom for those who wish to stay locally after all the drinking, we highly recommend booking a room, we will do brunch the following day!!

10/09 MEADING, (get it?), 5-9pm ish at Jon and Melissa’s, 3311 SW Tarragon St, Cocoa, FL 32926, USA . Bring any Mead (other brews/homebrews also welcome), a side or dessert and a chair. We will have a fire, food and good times!!! Members are welcome to camp out on the property overnight as there is plenty of room!!!

10/19 SAAZtoberfest!!! Rotary Park at Suntree, 6495 US-1, Rockledge, FL 32955, USA (map) 2-5pm, we will be making brats!! Bring your favorite side and brews to share. Inkbird items and beer equipment will be raffled off during this October party.
11/4 National Learn to Homebrew Day!! Have a brew, take a test, learn a thing!!! Celebrate this national day of learning more about craft beer!!!
