CHALLENGE #3 – SPRING FLING

To help Nathan and our judges prepare for another Epic Commander SAAZ, we are holding a smaller SAAZ only SPRING FLING competition.

  • 3 Bottles per entry

  • Cost $5 per entry, please pay the entry fees at the meeting (or prior) or you will be disqualified from any awards.

  • Accepted BJCP (2015) Categories:

    21: IPA

    20: American Porter & Stout

    29: Fruit Beer & 30: Spiced Beer

    34: Specialty – for this competition this is the catch-all category! You can enter any beer you want to here – Belgians, English Mild, Smoked Porter, your Hunahpu Clone…

    Cider (C1&C2) & Mead (M1-4)

 

Competition Volunteers:

Please arrive at 10AM to help set up and we will start judging ASAP.

We have 2 rounds for each category and a Best of Show to get through in a few hours so we need all of our BJCP judges and some stewards.

For your help you will be rewarded with Smoked Chicken Wings for lunch!

Awards will be given out at the 2pm SAAZ Meeting following the competition.

Gold Medal winners in each category will receive a Brock’s Giftcard.

Winner of Best of Show will take half of the entry fees home!


Interclub Brew Challenge RULES:

1) Must be a current SAAZ Member with 2016 Dues paid.

2) Sign-up for the challenge at a meeting – General or Officer. The supplies for each challenge are limited and to keep things fair for all we will not accept sign-ups at any other time.

3) Must pick up special ingredient at a SAAZ Meeting (General or Officer), we will not make special arrangements to deliver items.

4) Bring 6 – 12 oz bottles or a 64 oz growler of your beer to the designated meeting for judging.

5) SAAZ will provide a prize for the winner of the challenge. We also encourage you to enter into upcoming homebrew competitions to win even more!

6) If you fail to participate in a challenge it will affect your ability to partake in future challenges.
