CHALLENGE #3 – SPRING FLING
To help Nathan and our judges prepare for another Epic Commander SAAZ, we are holding a smaller SAAZ only SPRING FLING competition.
Competition Volunteers – we need you!!! Please come help judge and steward 🙂 We have to judge each category and Best of Show to get through in a few hours so we need all of our BJCP judges and some stewards hands on deck.
Please arrive at 10AM to help set up and we will start judging ASAP.
For your help you will be rewarded with Smoked Chicken Wings for lunch!
Awards will be given out at the 2pm SAAZ Meeting following the competition.
Gold Medal winners in each category will receive a $10 Brock’s gift card.
Winner of Best of Show will take half of the entry fees home ($35 Brock’s gift card)!
Bottoms Up Beer Run – June 11th, 2016 @ 3pm
Save the date & tell your friends to join us for an awesome 4K with homebrew along the way! Proceeds from the run support St. Baldrick’s! Registration Page – www.saaz.org/bottomsup. Help us get 500 runners!!! Spread the word. Share the Facebook event, don’t forget to pass out your postcards, posters and coasters.
Please email Anne, use the Sign Up Genius or sign up at a meeting to help. We need planning committee members and event volunteers.
Challenge #4 – Extreme Brew Challenge
No rules, just Extreme Beers… Russ Pellow this one is for you! Have you ever wanted to experiment and add Birthday Cake or Tang to your beer? How about an artichoke (Drew Thaller)? Well here is your chance to get your creative juices flowing and brew something off the wall. No BJCP styles here, just a popularity contest. Presentation of the beer will also be considered if you care to rim your glass or serve with a truffle made from the beer. Only goal is to make everyone love it! Beers will be judged at the July Meeting. Start thinking about this one now. Remember the crazier the better. I believe Ryan Kaestner will be using the tears of Virgins and Unicorn hooves so don’t steal his ideas. CHEERS!
Interclub Brew Challenge RULES:
1) Must be a current SAAZ Member with 2016 Dues paid.
2) Sign-up for the challenge at a meeting – General or Officer. The supplies for each challenge are limited and to keep things fair for all we will not accept sign-ups at any other time.

4) Bring 6 – 12 oz bottles or a 64 oz growler of your beer to the designated meeting for judging.
