5/17/24 Friday – Bottoms Up Beer Run (BUBR) planning meeting, Balibar in Merritt Island 7-8:30pm, Plan to attend if you want to be dedicated to helping organize and execute this fun event!!

6/1/24 – BUBR Bottoms Up Beer Run!!! 245 registered so far, our goal is 400. We are a little behind last years numbers so please share this event as much as possible!!! If you still have posters or postcards please get them posted in public as they do not help our registration numbers sitting in your closet!!!!

How can you help?
….save 6 pack and case boxes (box that holds 24 beers) as we will need many of these to organize and transport beers during CSAAZ judging.
AND Those wishing to help as non-BJCP judges get ready for beer boot camp!! 1st Session to be held on 6/9 at Casa Bessette (AJ and Gregs house), Sunday July 7 2pm, interested parties please sign up at the May meeting. This is in hopes that we can prime your palates so that you will become interested in becoming BJCP judges next!!!
Competitions:
- NHC entry window has closed, shipping/drop off window 5/20-5/31
- Hurricane Blow Off has been judged, congrats to the winners: Ryan Robinson, Gregg Roberts and Greg Bessette!!!!
- Hoggetown brew Off 5/25, REGISTRATION IS FULL
- Hot and Humid 6/29, entry window 5/1-5/24, REGISTRATION IS FULL. If you entered Hot and Humid email treasurer@saaz.org to organize reimbursement for entry fee (paid members only – this is part of why we pay dues, free/reimbursed entry into competitions!!!)
- Commander SAAZ 8/17/24, entry window 6/10-7/25 – plan your brews now!!!
- NASA ICC – smoked beer or an IPA we are looking for it to enter this competition in June. This will earn us bragging rights in the space community, brew it up and represent for the space coast!!!
Armstrong hosting the competition, bring four 12 oz bottles to the May meeting if you would like to enter your smoky or ipa beer!!! - New competition from 5 Branches Brewery in Tarpon Springs
Red Wit and Brew 2024-Jun-29, entry window 4/1-5/31, many spots to enter still available!! Winner gets to brew their recipe at the brewery!!! - Sunshine challenge 10/06, entry window 8/18-8/28 $10
