Things that just happened:
Science on Tap was awesome – overwhelmingly stout beer on nitro scored way more votes that stout beer on CO2. Thanks to our pub scouts and everyone else who participated, stellar science board Seth!! It was a really good time with some amazing beer cheese from the Dairy farmers and Florida grown hops from UF (Cascade)and we as a home brew club really brought the science. We will likely need another exbeeriment next year so start thinking now.
Brewers Bash was fabulous as always. We appreciate everyone who came out and volunteered for the general Bash activities, VIP room and SAAZ. As well as all our brewers who contributed beer to the event. We appreciate Dirty Oar for inviting us and putting on this amazing event each year!!!

Things that are about to happen:
2/15 6 pm Febrewary SAAZ meeting is a bonfire at Beachfly, starts at 6 pm this sat, they have amazing food and brews. SAAZ will be supplying stuff for s’mores. Come on out and bring your homebrews to share, grab some delicious grub and relax with us.
2/24 6pm – 9pm, Febrewary Happy Hour at Hardware Store, Titusvile, it’s trivia night!!! Trivia starts at 7pm (extra credit for early arrivals) and its a 70s theme with Trivia master Kyle!!! From Atari to disco, lava lamps to Star Wars nothing is off limits!! Dig out those bell bottoms and dig in to this groovy trivia night!! Team that wins 1st and 2nd place will earn prizes!! Come on out and support The Hardware Store by drinking some awesome beers and having a snack while we show what we know about the crazy decade of the 1970’s!!!
3/01 The Orlando Ale Line Pub Crawl, we have bought out the bus!!! See Anita for tickets, there are 11 available still. We will be starting at Gravity Taproom. Book your own room at the Courtyard Orlando Downtown located at 730 N. Magnolia Ave, Orlando Fl 32803. Many of us will be staying there to sleep off the many drinks. Anita will organize a next day brunch nearby for those who wish to attend. Pay your 2025 dues for a lower cost ticket!!!
3/13 6-9pm, March Happy hour at Carib in Cape Canaveral, trivia starting at 7!!! Their chocolate stout is amazing and there are many other awesome beers and ciders on tap for your enjoyment!!
3/2025 “Irish Spring” Intraclub Homebrew Competition. The theme is Irish with entries provided at the March meeting and subsequent awards at the April meeting. The winner will receive a $50 gift card to Total Wine. We will also have a People’s Choice award at the April meeting.
Competition rules:
The competition is limited to members who are current in their dues. One entry per person, with 3 bottles provided per entry. Entries are limited to the following categories:
15. Irish Beer
29A. Fruit Beer
29B. Fruit and Spiced Beer
30A. Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer
32. Smoked Beer
33. Wood Beer
Beers in the specialty categories 29-33 MUST have a noticeable Irish base. Judging will follow the 2021 BJCP Guidelines. The cutoff date for entry delivery is the March meeting. Judging will take place over the month between the March and April meetings. The winner will be announced at the April meeting.
3/23 2pm March SAAZ meeting will be at Hell n Blazes!!! Bring your entries for the Irish Spring Intraclub competition!!!
4/10 6pm Happy Hour at Broken Barrel!!!
4/26 Spring Party at the Wormes!!!! It’s gonna be a chicken wing ding event!!!! Bring a dish and some brews to share, more info as date gets nearer!!

5/31 Bottoms Up Beer Run!!!! Think about volunteering to brew, post flyers, plan, serve or run for this amazing event!! This is for St Baldricks and we really want to be able to continue to offer them support so we need everyones help in any way you can!! There will be updates re planning meetings as we get a little further into the year.
8/2025 Commander SAAZ!! Entry window 6/16/25-7/23/25, We will have sorting and a Sunday judging session the first weekend after all entries are received and two additional judging weekends, one at Hell ‘ n Blazes, the second at Beachfly followed by the awards dinner the follow at Bugnutty. We will need volunteers for sorting, stewarding and judging. We need BJCP certified judges to pair with our prospective BJCP judges and make this competition a success!!
