Hi Brewers!
A lot of fun activities coming up in the next several weeks!
First and foremost we have our Member Meeting this Sunday at 2pm at World of Beer in Viera. They will be giving us a happy hour 25% discount! At this meeting we will also be doing the “Hopped Up” Intraclub Challenge. Bring your hoppiest homebrew and compete to win a $50 Brock’s Homebrewing gift card.
Second, please remember to pay your 2018 dues! Don’t miss out on fun club activities (parties), bus trips, discounts, and more! Please see the treasurer if you are unsure if you are up to date!
Thirdly, we have Craft Brews in the Park hosted by WOB on May 5th 2018 at 12pm. We will have a tent and serve our homebrewed beer, as well as doing a live brewing demo to engage novice and experienced brewers alike! Please see sign up at the April meeting if you would like to donate a keg, serve beer or participate in set-up/take down.
Also in May our Member Meeting will be at Broken Barrel Tavern in Palm Bay on May 20th. I am working on a potential special guest to be joining us as we have done before this year! Stay tuned for more details!
The June 30th Orlando Bus Trip is fast approaching. The cost is $30 and includes a lunch at one of the brewery locations. We are heading to Orlando to do part of the Central Florida Ale Trail. We will be seeing the likes of Ellipses, Dead Lizard, Crooked Can, Deadly Sins, Cask & Larder, and Ten 10 brewing. A finalized itinerary will be presented at the May meeting. Must have payment by May 30th or we will have to call off the trip if not enough people are signed up, so please see the treasurer to get your seat reserved!
BUBR is right around the corner – 6/9/18! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. We need help with posters, flyers, stickers, coaster distribution, and most importantly brewing! If you are interested in helping please see a club officer, specifically Anne. We need all grain brewers as well as people to make cider! This years line-up includes: BUBR Blonde Ale, BUBRFEST Festbier, BUBR PALE ALE, and BUBR dry cider. We will have sign ups at the meeting Sunday as well as the May meeting. We will need help with set-up and tear-down as well. All friends and family are welcome to come help us out!

We’re celebrating hops. WOB has their Hop Head event on Friday, 4/13/18, so there should be plenty of hoppy beers on draft for your enjoyment. We are also hosting the next Intraclub Challenge: Hopped Up where we will be judging your beer on hop expression. Bring on the IBUs and win a $50 Brock’s Giftcard if your beer is chosen the hoppiest!

Bottoms Up Beer Run – June 9th
Save the date & tell your friends to join us for an awesome 4K with homebrew along the way! Proceeds from the run support St. Baldrick’s!
Interested in volunteering for the run, email Anne or sign up at a meeting to help. We need:
- Brewers
- Race Promotion – pass out PR materials, share FB event/posts and recruit your friends
- Packet Pick-up at Running Zone
- Race Day volunteers – course marshals, servers, check-in, awards, food and more
