Things that just happened:
Quiz night happy hour at Carib was a lot of fun!!! We didn’t win but we weren’t in last place and we got to drink some awesome Carib beer/cider!!
SAAZ officially donated $10,000 from the Bottoms Up Beer Run to St Baldricks foundation. This is our biggest year yet!!! Thanks again to all who helped make this happen!!!
Things that are about to happen:
7/7 Judging Boot Camp #2 this Sunday at the Gregg house at 2 pm for those who attended boot camp #1. Bring a pencil and your palate!!
7/9 BURB shirt distribution at Intracoastal 6pm, this is our last planned day to get the rest of the BUBR shirts out to those who participated. Fun run starts at 6:30p so we will pass out shirts at 6p then either participate in the fun run or sit back and enjoy a beer!! If you are interested in helping with shirt distribution let Anne know or just show up and help!!
7/20 SAAZ Summer party at Brad and Anitas (4355 Vancouver Ave, Cocoa) starting at 2pm!!! Pool, beer and BBQ promises to be an absolute blast!!! Bring your suits, sides, desserts/drinks to share!!! SAAZ T-shirts will be distributed if you haven’t yet picked yours up. Anyone looking to get rid of some used brew equipment? CSAAZ is accepting donations for our raffle!! Bring to the summer party and get it out of your garage

July – August Commander SAAZ activities abound!!!! Please read the following and help where you can!!! This is our clubs big beer competition and we need lots of help so that it can run as smoothly as possible!!
WE STILL NEED 6-PACK HOLDERS AND CASE BOXES – A LOT OF THEM for sorting and judging, if we don’t get enough donations club will have to purchase these items. Please bring any you have or can beg, borrow or steal (jk) from your local liquor store, grocery store etc to any upcoming club event (Summer party, boot camp, burb shirt distro.). We will need these by July 28th for sorting of entries.
7/8 Delivery window for CSAAZ starts Monday July 8th!!
7/28 Sorting begins!!! We need volunteers for sorting beers before the first judging weekend!!! Sorting will be at the end of the entry window July 28th, location TBD, email to info@saaz.org to help with sorting.
8/3, 8/4, 8/10, 8/11 Judging sessions!!! We will need stewards for the judging weekends to help sort and pour beers. Stewarding is a great way to familiarize yourself with the judging process and learn a lot about homebrews. If you wish to register as a steward go to reggie login and create an account, then you can go to our competition https://reggiebeer.com/ReggieEntry.php?CompetitionID=SOJJPN1000840 and add yourself as a steward. If you are or know a BJCP judge you may register for judging in this manner as well.
CSAAZ t-shirts can be picked up at sorting (7/28) or judging, $24 per shirt, if you still wish to order a shirt please contact AJ or Greg Bessette (info@saaz.org)
8/16 CSAAZ pub crawl!!! Meet in the lobby of Melby Hotel at 6pm – likely stops will include Hell ‘n Blazes, The Mansion and Iron Oak Post
8/17 CSAAZ final judging at the Civic Center in Melbourne followed by the awards dinner.
9/15 2pm September meeting at Bugnutty!! Education topic with Jon Nowlin!!
